Annabelle Candy Company LogoThe history of the Rocky Road candy bar goes back to 1950. It was in this year that Russian immigrant Sam Altshuler started the Annabelle Candy Company in San Francisco, California. A family man, Altshuler named the company after his daughter.

The pride and joy of this company just happened to be a little candy called Rocky Road. In it, Altshuler wrapped marshmallow with creamy chocolate and roasted cashews. The result? Pure, crunchy, sweet, salty, perfection.

With its hand-whipped marshmallow and rich, creamy chocolate, it’s no wonder that this baby garnered quite a following!
