When you think of chewing gum, Teaberry Gum may not be the first brand that comes to mind but did you know that this unique gum has been around in various guises for well over hundred years and can trace its roots back to the D.L. Clark Company, of Clark Bar fame, which was located in Pittsburgh, PA. That alone makes this brand near and dear to our hearts.

Teaberry Gum also has a unique place in Jazz history as Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass recorded a special “ditty” called the Teaberry Shuffle which was prominently featured in advertisements in the 1960’s. One can only imagine who they would use if they were recording an advertisement in today's day and age...

Although teaberries are a fruit indigenous to North America, as to what this pink flavored chewing gum tastes like, that remains a bit of a mystery although we think the flavor is closer to Wintergreen than it is to any other flavor.

A unique and often overlooked quality is that Teaberry Gum is still packaged with paper wrappers which, in itself, make it somewhat anachronistic to today’s packaging of the great chewing gum brands of yesteryear.
