Candy to us is more than just a sweet treat. It’s more than just chocolate, gummies, or hard candies. Candy, to us, is about RELATIONSHIPS.
Relationships between our family and friends, between us and our customers, and us and the candy business we work with.
In hard times, we give candies to our loved ones to show them encouragement. On holidays, we use candy to show people we love them. Best of all, whenever we need a pick-me-up, we grab some candy to help make our days better.
When I was younger and had had a long day at school, I would come home and reach into my family’s snack drawer to pull out one of the various candies we had sitting in there.
My friends would always come over and know where to reach for one of their favorite candies. Whether it was caramels, chocolates, or gummi candies, we could always count on my mom to have the BEST selection in our neighborhood.
In school, sometimes teachers used to pass around bowls of candy, and it was just what I needed to make it through class. Candy, in those moments, wasn’t just a sweet piece of food. It would bring me joy, and it would bring joy to those around me as well.
