Due to rising commodity prices and tariffs, Hershey has announced a price increase for all chocolate items, and we suspect that other manufacturers will follow suit.
To put this into perspective, "The Hershey Company noted in July that cocoa prices could cost them an additional $15 to $20 million due to tariff-related expenses.
Some convenience chains have announced that HERSHEY candy bar items will increase by 26 percent - no, that is sadly not a typo!
