Everybody knows about malted milk balls, but few know the history of malted milk, which was invented in England by pharmacist James Horlick as formula for babies. Appreciating its light-weight and non-perishable attributes, Admiral Byrd took it along with him on his Antarctic Expedition.
Malted milk balls have been a favorite since they were first made using Horlick’s basic recipe in 1939, when they were called Giants. The name changed to Whoppers in 1949 and you can click here to read more about their unique history.
Other great malted milk candies include Sixlets in fun colors like light pink and navy blue, Milky Way Dark (if you haven't tried a Milky Way Dark yet, it's time), and Brach’s Fiesta Malted Eggs.
Make sure you order enough malted milk balls and Sixlets to carry with you on your next expedition. Better safe than sorry.
Well send you all the latest scoops, including bulk candy coupons, deals and new products.

[message]These are all good hard candies, minty or fruity. The flavors are nice and strong.
I love the peppermint Starlight mints, but I also enjoy the fruity flavors that I can no longer find near me.
I never see these here in central Ohio. These are so yummy! I am glad to have found them.
I can only find the peppermint ones where I live, so I was glad to find the mixed bags available at your shop. My faves are the wintergreen.
This candy is flavorful with just a bit of chocolate in the center. So reminiscent of years ago at grandma's house.
