I send the candy as a gift to my sister. Her complaint was that it was very warm on delivery day and she wasn't notified that a package was left so it sat in the sun for 2-3 hours. I hope in the future the delivery person can notify her the package was there.
We certainly want candy to arrive in the best condition, especially when it is a gift for a loved one, but we need to be forthright that candy is what we sell, but FedEx makes the delivery. More often than not, candy arrives in perfect condition - and if you take Onward, you are 100 percent protected if it doesn't - but we send the purchaser a tracking number to coordinate the delivery better. Unfortunately, we have no control over the delivery process other than choosing the safest method to ship. In warmer or more humid conditions, they may be softer, and in colder weather, they may be harder. This is not a sign of defect, but rather how the ingredients, mainly pressed sugar, react to outside conditions. We apologize if this was not what you were expecting. We hope you still enjoyed the delicious peppermint flavor.
