Wintergreen Lifesavers offer a sharp wintergreen flavor in a white, hard mint.

In 1912, Life Savers, the candy named for its ring shape with the hole in the center, was introduced in peppermint (pep-o-mint) flavor although it would be 22 years before the popular five-flavor roll was introduced.

A favorite of WW II soldiers. Good reason. Less sweet than modern candies, the mixture of dark chocolates, molasses and peanuts is just right, in my opinion.
