A bit hard to break and chew
Clark bars have anew formula and they are a little harder. Whether for the better or worse is a matter of opinion - I personally like them- but what isn't up for discussion is that we are thrilled that this old school candy bar is still available! So many classic candies have been discontinued!

This review is strictly regarding the Clark bars. The reseller was great! Unfortunately, the Clark bars are not what us older folks are used to having in our younger years. This new formulation has a hard center. Not the soft, brittle center we are used to. Some of the bars are hard enough in the center that people will crack or break off a tooth. Very, very disappointing. Again, though, the website reseller was great to deal with. No complaints whatsoever regarding them.
It's a catch 22nd we certainly appreciate your feedback. The new Clark Bars are different from the old with a harder center and overall consistency. I personally don't mind the formula change BUT what I like more is that they are still avalable as so many old school candies have disappeared all the more so ones that originated in Pittsburgh, where we are located! I have long believed in the adage that ' if it ain't broke, don't fix it,' but that often is not the case in the ever changing - and shrinking - candy industry.
