Espresso – The Essence of the Coffee Bean.
Espresso is a brew method, not a roast, type of bean or grind. It is prepared according to specific preparation techniques. Espresso is a .85-1.2oz beverage prepared from 7-9 grams of coffee through which clean water of 195-205-degrees F has been forced at 9-10 atmospheres of pressure, and where the grind of the coffee is such that the brew time 20-30 seconds.
Keeping that definition in mind, Espresso Classico is a blend designed to maintain its flavor profile throughout the year while waiting for a new crop to arrive. Our Espresso Classico is a traditional Italian espresso with caramel and chocolate notes in the aroma, a buttery, creamy crema, medium body finishing with a sweet, citrus note.
