Everyone loves a good prank, right? Well believe it or not, this isn’t always the case. Sometimes pranks can turn out to be almost malicious in nature. These pranks often turn on the prank-player, only to become a much bigger issue than anyone would have ever expected. And would you believe that some of the biggest pranks (and repercussions) have revolved around candy? It’s true!
The 100 Grand Bar has proven to be one very prank-worthy treat. This week, we’ll unwrap the stories surrounding this prank-ridden sweet, so you can be on the lookout.
The 100 Grand Bar was created in 1966, so it’s been around the block a couple of times! At the time of its creation, there were a series of successful game shows with cash prize giveaways. Thus, the 100 Grand Bar was named after them.
It wasn’t until the 1990’s when 100 Grand started becoming a problem. In the early 90’s, two Boston DJs, Gregg “Opie” Hughes and Anthony Cumie, talked for weeks about giving away 100 Grand until finally revealing to the winner that the prize was actually just the candy bar.
As you can imagine, the winner filed a lawsuit with the company. But believe it or not, the same prank was pulled again in 2005! Perhaps this second radio station had missed the fallout from the first prank. Or perhaps they thought it was just too funny not to do. But whatever the reason, DJ Slick from a Lexington Kentucky radio station decided to do it again.
And the result? Well, you can guess that the winner was not happy this time around either. She too sued the station for the money she said she was promised.
It may be hard to believe that all this fuss could be made over a little candy bar, but its true. These pranks serve as a good reminder that candy can be sweet, but when used for the wrong purposes, it can also be devastating. So let’s keep it sweet, shall we?

[message]I never received this order, got the raspberry candy and am happy with them but am very disappointed that the chocolate filled candy must have gotten lost.
I am very happy with the order of the raspberry candies however I didn’t receive the chocolate filled hard candy that I ordered at the same time.
Package came with severe damage
Hello,
This is an insurance and if your package came severely damaged, you may be able to file a claim. You need to go to the email you would have received from Route Protection when you placed the order and follow claim instructions. They usually request a photo or two but it's fairly simple to do and we highly recommend you do so.
