What is Easter without Just Born Marshmallow Peeps?

Marshmallow Peeps are crucial to Easter. But, quite frankly, they can not exist without one another.

JELLY BEANS

2023 has been a unique year for jelly beans as there is a nationwide shortage due to the war in Ukraine and a shortage of starch which is a byproduct of wheat.

Quantities are very limited and we will not be able to reorder from manufacturers once our original shipment is gone.

Easter would not be complete without jelly beans and we will do our best to make sure that we have enough to go around.

BRACH’S EASTER CANDY

Brach’s Candy provides holiday candies all year round, and Easter is no exception. We are unique at Candy Favorites because we love to connect candy lovers with precisely what they are craving, even when we have to search everywhere for those hard-to-find classics.

Easter baskets would seem empty without Brach’s classics like their Fiesta Malt Eggs, Speckled Jelly Eggs, or their ever-so-popular candy corn in its special Easter uniform. So if you want to complete your Easter, you must have a piece of Brach’s classic candies, and we are just the ones to provide them for you!

Unfortunately, many classics such as Brach's Marshmallow Hunt Eggs, Chicks n' Rabbits, and White Fiesta Malt Eggs - we do have the pastel ones - are unavailable in 2023. However, we hope this is only a temporary issue although everything seems to indicate that these beloved classics have been permanently discontinued.

HANDMADE CHOCOLATE EGGS

Chocolate Eggs are cute, festive, and taste amazing, especially whenever they come in any flavor you want and, even more so, when they are made to order!

Did I mention they are handmade? Our chocolate eggs have been lovingly crafted by a local chocolatier who has used the same recipes and molds for over sixty-five years!

Not to brag, but we have a large selection of various flavors! Do you like meltaway's? Well, we have meltaway chocolate eggs! Do you like peanut butter? Well, we have peanut butter chocolate eggs! Do you love salt and sweet combo? Well, we have potato chip chocolate eggs. I could go on, but the moral of the story is if you want it, the chances are that we have it!

Each Chocolate Egg is curated to perfection for every Easter basket, and these are sure to bring back memories and, hopefully, create new ones as that is what old-school candy is all about!

MEMORIES OF A VALUED EMPLOYEE WHO MADE THE MOST AMAZING EASTER BASKETS…

One of the first employees at McKeesport Candy Co. was Betty Eschelbacher, who was hired by my grandfather, Ernest Prince when the company was founded in 1927. She continued to work for my father and was a fantastic employee who never missed a day of work in over sixty (60) years, but her claim to fame was that she made the most beautiful Easter Baskets!

Not a year went by when she didn’t surprise my family with baskets filled with jelly beans, unique chocolate items, and other holiday candies. Whether home or away, these marvelous creations never failed to astonish!

Speaking of chocolate, to this day, I remember my surprise at receiving a five (5) pound solid chocolate poodle, not to mention countless other treats like Pecan Nougat Eggs and Easter Pez Dispensers. Betty was the first to introduce us to the local chocolatier we have been working with for over 60 years and who still uses original recipes and vintage copper molds!

Betty passed away in 1990, but her generosity remains a benchmark for celebrating Easter. She was a valued employee, friend, inspiration, and "patron saint" of McKeesport Candy Co.
