Necco Sky Bars were manufactured in the 1930’s by Necco which makes Sky Bars one of the oldest candy bars still available.
Their name comes from a marketing stunt that was done when they were introduced in 1938 using an innovative skywriting campaign. One fun fact about the Skybar is that it is often confused with the discontinued Seven Up candy bar. Despite the name confusion, the amazing taste is anything but forgettable!
In tribute to the longevity (and popularity) of this great treat, Necco released the Tropical Sky Bars in 2014 which were discontinued

Back in the early 40s when I went to the movies at ( The SKY and the BumBum movies house) on the North side in PGH at the high price of 11 cents or 13 cents I made sure I had a sky bar, I am almost 80 and still enjoy them, I have a box in the freg, calling my name.
Necco Sky Bars are as much a part of the candy cultural landscape as almost any other candy and as hard to find as they are delicious! Glad you enjoyed!

While I enjoyed the Hershey
While I enjoyed the Hershey bar most of all as a kid I tried the Skybar and found a mouthwatering taste of cream fillings and milk chocolate. It is good to try them again after so many years. When I first bought these they were five cents a bar but they taste just as good now at this price. Glad I found them again!

I always enjoyed the 4-flavor
I always enjoyed the 4-flavor chocolate bar as a kid, and I was happy that it is still available from you. A great after-meal treat.

I tried a limited time release butterfinger french toast bar from a convenience store and went back next day and they were sold out. After many online retailers advertising the same bar for $10-$12 each I found candy favorites online and was able to get 3 boxes of these amazing bars shipped to my home on ice packs all for around $2 per bar.
I Keep them in the fridge. Grandkids have discovered they are there so I may be ordering again very soon!

Best spice drops ever
Best spice drops ever in 2 of my favorite flavors.
It’s been so long since I had a Pearson caramel nip, so I can’t say if these are exactly the same. It doesn’t seem like it though. As soon as the candy hits the tongue, there is an off flavor…like chemicals. It doesn’t last or the mouth gets used to it. After that it is ok and is close enough to my memory of nips.
Then, while the price isn’t horrible, when Pearson nips we’re available in the store, there were often sales and BOGOs. Having to buy Brach’s on line (not available in any stores near me), the possibility of sales is zero.
While I’m glad to still be able to get any nips, I’m just not very thrilled with these things.
Basic tootsie pop, but with rich caramel flavor. What’s not to love?! They are limited in production, so I buy by the pound to prevent running out. Great for when I’m driving, which has been the hardest time to adjust as a ‘new’ non-smoker.
