we were really looking forward to receiving our order from Candy Favorites but, when it arrived it was a MESS! I had ordered and paid for a 'set' to keep my order safe from melting, when it got here there was only ONE little 'ice' sponge inside a large foam container and that inside a cardboard box. the entire order was completely melted together (in their separate boxes) and was such a mess that I threw all of it out! what a price to pay for nothing! I seriously doubt I will ever order from you folks again, this was a very expensive price to pay to learn that even the order was wrong, one of the melted masses was supposed to peanut butter with dark chocolate, instead it was chocolate covered peanuts which I don't care for at all! Please get your people to do things right! No I was not impressed with this disaster!
Dear Bonnie, First, we apologize for your product not arriving in good condition. Shipping chocolates is VERY difficult during summer months and we are forthright that there is risk involved and that we are not able to issue credit for products damaged by extremes of temperature.
With that said, we go to great lengths to insure that the ice packs are totally frozen ( we use a freezer that goes below zero to add extra cooling) and we use a case - double packed adds to the insulation -- that has been designed for perishables. Unfortunately, we have no control about what happens when the product is en route as UPS as their trucks are not air conditioned and time in transit plays a big role. It's a catch 22.
With all this said, I am sorry your experience was less than perfect and your chocolate melted. Although it is not our policy to issue credit for products damaged - this is stated in our Terms and Conditions as well as on our Order and Email electronic invoice -- I would be willing to send you out two replacements in the Fall when it is cooler and the chance of safe delivery is far greater.
