Some novelty candies are unique and become more than just a sweet treat; they become a sweet experience.
Our two new candies, Gummi Fries & Strawberry Ketchup and Scrambled Gummy Sizzlers, are examples of precisely that.
When I first saw our new candies, I was filled with excitement. I couldn't wait to taste their unique flavors and experience the fun they promised.
The first one I tried was the Scrambled Gummy Sizzlers, which was a delight from start to finish.
With these gummy eggs, I was extremely curious about how they would sizzle like a real egg.
The steps to "cook" this delicious candy were on the back of the candy's packaging.
First, I unboxed the candy and found two scrambled candy eggs within their plastic pan, a packet of candy ketchup, and a packet of sizzling candy.
The first step was to put the sizzling candy in the bottom of the pan, take the candy egg out, and then put it back in.
Once I placed the egg on the sizzling candy, it sounded like I was cooking a real egg! After I let it sizzle for a bit, I added the ketchup to top it off and then took a bite.
The texture of the candy egg was surprisingly similar to the real thing: gooey and soft. While the egg didn't have a strong flavor, it combined perfectly with the other ingredients in the kit. But the real star of the show was the sweet experience. The joy of creating my own candy treat was unparalleled.
Next, I had to try the Gummi Fries & Strawberry Ketchup.
As I opened the box, I was extremely excited to see how large the container of candy fries was.
Immediately, I opened the resealable ketchup packet and poured a bit out of the box, just like I put real ketchup in my fast food bag when I was out to eat.
I first tried the fries dipped in the ketchup, and while the ketchup didn't look exactly like real ketchup, it was incredibly delicious.
The fries are a classic gummy candy, but the ketchup elevates the sweet experience with its strawberry flavor. The candy flavor was delicious, and I can’t wait to have this sweet version of fries again.
Overall, we buy candy for all the sweet experiences that they give us.
