The original was made by NECCO who went out of business in 2019 but the new ones, manufactured by RITO, taste almost as good - maybe even better! Imitation, after all, is the highest form of flattery!
Much like White Peppermints, the original pink lozenges first appeared in Canada during the late 1880s, but didn't arrive in the United States until the early 1900s, hence their nickname "Canada Mints." Originally sold in bulk, it wasn't until 1916 that they were offered as a $.05 count good which gave them pride of place on any well-appointed candy counter. Back to the Past Future
I can remember how the original Canada Wintergreen Mints tasted and their easily chewable consistency. I loved them as a teen in the '50's and these Rita's are a carbon copy!

Unfortunately, this product didn’t work for me. I love hot chilies, especially ghost peppers and Calabrian chilies. I expected the tongue torchers to give me the same kick. Upon receiving the candy I put one in my mouth and within a couple of minutes I got a very upset stomach. The taste in my mouth was more of a chemical kind of taste. I threw away 5 pounds of candy in the garbage. This was a learning experience for me.

Although these are Christmas themed candies and toys, I intend to distribute them as treats on Halloween. The candies were well packaged and arrived quickly and without damage. These jelly fruit slices are some of the freshest candy I've had. They are similar to Chuckles only much softer and dusted with just the right amount of sugar. They're perfect!

The cigarettes arrived mostly intact and taste exactly how I remembered them. I refused to buy them on Amazon because of the mixed reviews from 3rd party sellers. However, this seller delivered as advertised (and with no red mold!)
