I saw I could order Snaps after a lifetime drought. I order 6#,s, and ate em all. I saw a problem forming so I ordered 9# of Snaps in 12 oz packs. Still . I wanted sealed Snaps for the long haul. So I ordered another 6# bag … and ate it. The pandemic hits and I salivate over my sealed 12 oz bags. Then I ate em. A year later I found Snpas online. The were not cheap. I bought 4 12 oz bags. Opened the last one yesterday.

I remember as a young kid my friends and I would walk to the movie theater for the Saturday show. On the way passing a little drug store. We would go in and look over the candy counter and there they were those $02 boxes of snaps. Having a dime I would buy 5 boxes of snaps and enjoyed them all during the movie. On the way home we would pass the same drug store and looked forward to getting my allowance so that I could get more of those wonderful snaps that I loved so much. I still love them today over 50 years later....keep making them.
There are so many 'sweey' memories regarding Snaps Licorice but, sadly, they have been discontinued by the manufacturer and no indication has been made to them being available in th near future! On this side, they were personal favorites and one of the best selling candies we ever sold!

Just like I remember 1963.
As the Talking Heads once sang, ' same as it ever was...' They may not have been referring to Licorice Snaps but these are one of the few remaining candies that taste as good today as they did when may of us furst tried them decades ago. We are not sure how long they will be around but they are truly deserving of being considered a 'classic' candy.

Wonderful Memory Lane visit.
I'm old and I remember back 60 years ago that this was probably my favorite at the movie theater and only for special occasions. It is every bit as good as I remembered it. I bought for my sister and daughter also. They remembered. I would love to see it back on the counters in stores again.
