We appreciate your sharing sentiments but encourage you to be cautious with words as the product that you received was not 'FAKE'.
Brachs was purchased by Ferrara Pan a few years ago and many of the products changed in either appearance, formula or taste. This doesn't mean that they became 'Fake' but rather that they are different than what you might recall. We discuss this in our FAQ and RETURNS section.
We are sorry the candy didn't meet your needs but as a wholesaler and not the manufacturer, we really have no control in the process.
Personally, I am not a huge fan of change but it does occur.
The product you received was made by Brachs thus making it 'genuine' but, again, it may be different than what you recall.

I purchased these candies for my 93 year old neighbor because Brachs was no longer being sold in Publix where she shops. I was not pleased to see that the strawberry filled candies were (I believe) NOT made by Brachs, as their candy wrappers are twisted at the top end only. I told Sofie (my neighbor) that they must have changed the way they wrap them. She was satisfied but I'm a bit "miffed".
Also, the caramels (although we were home and they were delivered directly from the delivery man's had to ours) had a number of them (mostly the butter rum) with the paper wrapping stuck to the caramel.
Sorry to have to submit this type of info but I tell it when its good news and I tell it when its bad news.

I always liked Brach’s Bridge Mix so when I couldn’t find I asked Chat GPT where I could find a bridge mix. Your name came up. The chocolate is smooth and delicious…. Better than Brachs. Hi! We're so glad you like the Bridge Mix and let me offer some insight into shipping costs.
Shipping has long been a challenge, as it often costs more than the product itself, and it always exceeds the amount we charge the customer. We don't use shipping as a profit center and never have.
You opted for flat-rate shipping at $11.95, but the actual cost was $12.16. We also included an ice pack, which is approximately $2, to safeguard your product. Basic math shows that we actually charged you less than what it costs us!
It always pays to order larger quantities to either offset shipping costs or take advantage of free shipping at $149.95 - our threshold is among the lowest in the industry. Please note that candy, especially chocolate, is perishable. We need to ship it in a way that best protects the product.
With that said, we are glad you enjoyed your chocolates and that they were delivered promptly and safely, and that the above gives you a better understanding of shipping and related costs.
