Apparently, the original packaging was considered a bit risque as it contained images which many considered to be racially innappropriate. Although we have never seen the original packaging and have offered this candy for over 50 years, Annabelle Candy Co., will only coment that the wrapper has not changed since they began manufacturing the candy 56 years later -- 1978 to be exact.
Abba-Zaba Candy Bars are old-fashioned candy chunks made of chewy taffy with a peanut butter center! Every box contains 48 delicious candy bars, each with a net weight of .48 oz. , making it enough to satisify the cravings of even the hardest core Peanut Butter lover.
While having delicious thick, white chewy taffy, with a rich creamy peanut butter filling in the center, Abba-Zaba Candy Bars are high in protein, long lasting and very satisfying. Oh, they are still Made in the USA and are KSA Kosher Parve.

I tried a limited time release butterfinger french toast bar from a convenience store and went back next day and they were sold out. After many online retailers advertising the same bar for $10-$12 each I found candy favorites online and was able to get 3 boxes of these amazing bars shipped to my home on ice packs all for around $2 per bar.
I Keep them in the fridge. Grandkids have discovered they are there so I may be ordering again very soon!
