Released in the 1980s but patented in the 1970s, Combos burst onto the snack food scene, offering a crunchy other shell encasing a cheese center. Although it has been offered in a variety of flavors, we offer the tried and true baked cracker and baked pretzel flavors.
Most people think that the pretzel shell was the first variation, but, in reality, the cracker shell came first.
Here's a fun Combo trivia fact - Anheuser-Busch owned the brand before Mars Incorporated acquired it and the oddest flavor ever produced - and quickly discontinued - was Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Cracker and Cheeseburger Cracker.
