Stockings are my personal favorite part of Christmas morning. Rifling through the little presents and sweet treats is always a highlight of the day, especially when made with care. Each stocking in my household is personalized to make each person feel special. The easiest aspect to customize is the candy. Pick a person's favorite or maybe even a candy related to an inside joke; either way, there is no way to go wrong when it's all delicious. Putting together the perfect stocking can be hard, so here are some tips to help you put it all together.
1. Seek the Perfect Ratio of Candy to knick-knacks.
While we love candy, which is our favorite part of a stocking, we know that a balance between candy and knick-knacks is essential. A 60% snack and 40% knick-knack ratio is perfect. It leaves space to find the perfect personalized items while being able to fit all of someone's favorite candies.
2. Personalize the Candy Choices.
Everyone loves candy, but some choices are better for some people than others. I am a huge fan of Reese's, so those are a safe bet in my stocking, but Butterfingers are not my favorite. However, my brother loves Butterfingers, so those should go in his stocking. Everyone has different tastes. Some people prefer gummies, while others prefer chocolate, but either way, it is hard to make the wrong candy choices.
3.Ensure that all kinds of candies are included, from chocolate to gummies to hard candies.
Personalization is essential; however, including a variety within these personalized candies is important. You want your stocking mix to be exciting. Including a variety within the candy is important. We have all options from Christmas-themed candies to classics, but the variety within the chocolate, gummies, hard candies, and more is essential too. The ratio between these is what one can customize; say, someone prefers chocolate, then you would fill their stocking with 50% chocolate, 25% gummies, and 25% hard candies.
4.Stuff it to the max.
No one likes an empty stocking. It's disappointing and sad. This is why people need to stuff them to the max, and I mean candy pouring out. Stuffing a stocking to the max is exciting, showing the thought you put into curating their stocking.
5. Pick candies that connect to memories.
Along with personalizing a person's favorite candies, it is also essential to pick candies that are associated with pleasant memories. Say someone's mom liked a specific candy. Putting that in their stocking would mean a lot. Candies associated with memories mean so much more than other candies. Memories are at the heart of why we love candy and why many others do.
6. Fill the bottom part of the stocking with smaller things, then put larger items, such as candy tubes, in the upper part of the stocking.
While this is just a practical tip, thinking through how you stuff the stocking is smart. To maximize the space, one must fill the bottom with smaller things and put the larger things in the upper part.
7. Snacks can also be great stocking stuffers.
While sweets are our favorite, we must consider the savory treats we offer. Chips, Slim Jims, and other sorts of snack packs can add balance to the sweetness in a stocking and are delicious!
8. Pick out Unique candies.
Unique candies add to the excitement when opening a stocking. We offer many candies that are hard to find and would be a delight for people to open and try! New candies are also exciting because they give a taste-testing experience.
Stockings are the best part of Christmas morning, and these quick tips will help you make the best stockings ever!
