My husband and I love payday candy bars, especially when they are fresh. But recently, we have been disappointed in the advertisements of the nudity candy bar. Payday candy bars originated in Centralia, Illinois
Back in the fifties, Hollywood Candy Company began to produce Payday. A lot of Centralians worked there at one time or the other. Not sure when they closed, but remember while in California a friend bought one, I told him they were made in my home town, Of course he laughed until he read the wrapper. Made in Centralia, Illinois. that was in the early seventies.

I hadn't seen these in years so I ordered a box. Now, even though the box had cooling pouches inside and the box plainly said protect from heat, the FedEx delivery placed them on a sidewalk in the 90 degree desert sun. Not the vendors fault.
