Few candies have as much staying power as Brach's Milk Maid Caramels, a chewy, rich caramel square that has delivered moments of sweet bliss to candy lovers and for more than one hundred years.
They were the first product offered by Brach's when the company opened in 1904 and cost a whopping $.20 per pound which, at the time, made them one of the most expensive and extravagant candies available.
Although these caramel squares were one of the first wrapped candies to be sold by the pound, they were often sold individually and were a standard offering at any penny candy counter, and we're proud to help keep the tradition alive.
There are approximately 35 pieces of Brach's Milk Maid Caramels per pound.

I was having a terrible time finding caramels needed for 2 or 3 of my favorite dessert/cookie recipes and was running myself crazy trying to find them.
Finally, in frustration I googled caramels and Candy Favorites. com popped up. Now I'm set for a while and will always order them here!

One halloween when I was a young teen, my mom decided to play a joke on the kids in the neighborhood. She saved a big dog food bag and loaded it about half full of these caramels. When the trick or treaters came to the door she'd pull out the dog food bag, reach deep into it and grab a handful of caramels and quickly plunge her hand into the kids trick or treat bags. They couldn't see what was in her hand and the expressions of their faces were priceless. Did she really give them dog food?????

Brach's Milk Maid caramels are my favorite of all caramels. They are quite difficult to find in the grocery store or CVS/RiteAid, so I am so happy to be able to order them on CandyFavorites.com.
