Meet the Lovely M&M's Characters
My favorite thing about M&M's is the candy's personality, partly due to their sweet "spokescandies." In honor of National M&M's Day on October 12th, let’s learn a little about each spokescandy. First, we have RED. Red represents regular Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, Peanut Butter, and Crispy M&M's. Red is best known for his egotistical nature but also for being a perfectionist. Red has existed since the beginning of M&M's spokescandies in the 1990s. Overall, Red is sarcastic and self-centered and always steals the show whenever possible. If we had to guess, his horoscope sign would be an LEO. Then there...

However, I would like to know if my taste aligns with the most popular Halloween candies as ranked by Thrillist. Reese's Cups...

Hey Barbie, What's your Favorite Movie Candy?
With $1 billion sold in global ticket sales, the Barbie movie has broken records and has inspired everyone from all over to choose just about everything in pink, including candy. While the movie, on the surface, is about a favorite childhood toy, it has a much deeper and sweeter meaning. I saw the movie the weekend it came out. The movie theater was packed; of course, my crew and I were dressed head to toe in pink! Ever since the movie, pink has been my favorite color. I wear pink. I drink pink. I eat pink. I am pink. I’m...

This Sweet California Piece of Gold is Back - Introducing Cup-o-Gold Candy Bars!
Almost 100 years after the real California Gold Rush, The Hoffman Candy Company created another kind of gold rush but this time, an extra sweet one. The Cup-O-Gold candy bar came out in the 1950s from the Hoffman Candy Company, which invented all kinds of chocolate delicacies in the 1930s. While the Hoffman Candy Company doesn’t produce Cup-O-Golds anymore, there are still efforts today to preserve their old building as a historical and cultural monument. The Hoffman Candy Company was one of the earliest family-operated candy companies in Los Angeles, making history both within the city and the candy world....

Our (Not So) Top Secret Recipe for the Perfect Trail Mix
Summer's not without hikes, sunscreen, swimming pools, and snacks. The best summer snack of all is trail mix. The best part of the trail mix is the candy. I always pick it out and eat it first. Everyone has different tastes, so my ideal mix will differ from yours. However, there is a recipe that everyone can follow to create their perfect combination. The perfect trail mix starts with a good base consisting...
Candy is All About Sweet Memories, Share Yours!

The disappointment someone feels when they find out their favorite candy is discontinued - sadly, something all too common these days - can be unmatched. After all, when companies discontinue their products, we can lose parts of our childhood, our favorite foods, and our memories. While it can seem nonsensical that your favorite candy is discontinued, there are many reasons a company either decides to or has to discontinue an item that, in some...

Candy Feeds Imagination at Winchester-Thurston's Willy Wonka Camp
Candy has been known to feed imaginations for decades, especially for children. The candy world was changed forever when the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie came out in 1971. One might call Willy Wonka, the "Patron Saint" of candy. Along with the movie came candies manufactured under the Willy Wonka candy name, such as Nerds, Gobstoppers, and Laffy Taffy. While those candies are still in production, they are no longer sold under the Wonka name. However, the Wonka legacy lives on through its story, movies, and contributions to the candy industry and children's imaginations. It may not be a...

Scrolling on Tik Tok one day, I encountered people mixing various candies and calling it a salad. I was intrigued by the different candy combinations and this innovation in candy consumption. However, I understand that many people do not share this same opinion. I have always loved M&M's too, which made me want to create this ranking of some of their current flavors on the market. If I ranked these flavors...

Is there a Jelly Bean Shortage in 2023?
It would be hard to imagine Easter without Jelly Beans....but it is possible! Each candy has a time in the year when it's "in season," almost like fruit. Instead of growing conditions, we have taste bud conditions. While every candy can be eaten in any season and still be delicious, there are certain times of the year when the candy tastes even better. For example, it might feel odd to eat a candy cane in the summer unless you are celebrating Christmas in July, and while eating jelly beans in any other season than spring wouldn't feel wrong, it just...

Conversation Hearts have long been a beloved Valentine's treat, and we have been offering them for over ninety years in various flavors, shapes, and sizes. Our Candy Blogger Hannah's Unique Take on Candy
My Controversial Takes on Candy As a candy blogger and self-professed lover of almost all things sweet, I have my takes on what candy bars are "good" and which are "bad." Still, of course, these opinions are my own, as candy is very subjective! People can be chocolate lovers, gummi fanatics, or just love a mix of everything. I am a chocolate lover, but not exclusively. Of course, occasionally, I enjoy an excellent gummy or sour treat. My favorite candy is Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, precisely their Big Cup. Throughout my life, I have learned that some of my takes...

It Isn't the Holidays Without a Sweet Gingerbread House!
One of my favorite parts of the holidays is gingerbread houses. I make at least one every year, and usually, my family participates in the annual Pittsburgh Gingerbread House competition. We use every candy known to man to construct a masterpiece, and it never turns out to be a classic gingerbread house or a house at all. Still, it doesn’t have to be for the competition. When we first started the competition, we built a giant Rubber Ducky out of Candy and Rice Krispy treats. A GIANT Rubber ducky made of Candy and Rice Krispies! The following year we created...
Help Us Celebrate the 94th Birthday of the Beloved Reese's Peanut Butter Cup!
Celebrate the 94th Birthday of one of the most popular candy flavor combinations of all time! With the most profound pleasure, I announce that today, November 15, 2022, is the 94th birthday of the beloved Reese's Peanut Butter Cup! Ninety-four years ago, on this very day, Harry Burnett Reese invented this peanut butter and chocolate delight in his basement. Reese was a former employee of The Hershey Company and left to start his own business, which eventually bought his candy in 1963 and sells it today. Although Mr.Reesesold the company back to Hershey, it's safe to say that his candy...
The Great Candy Cane Shortage Continues!
Candy Canes are still in short supply so we encourage you to order early! We see many elements of the holiday season as vital—for example, ice skating, decorating, baking, cooking, spreading kindness, and candy canes. Candy Canes symbolize the holiday season; seeing them in any other season is strange, but ironically, they sell year-round. They are used to decorate trees in baking and add flavor to our holiday season, and some even crush them to use as garnish for a cocktail or topping for baked goods. Candy Canes being such a crucial element to the holidays also means they hold...

Candy Canes are in VERY short supply in 2022?
It is hard to believe that there will be a candy cane shortage in 2022! Can you imagine a holiday season without candy canes? That's like asking if you could imagine Halloween without Pumpkins, Thanksgiving without Turkey - unless you are a vegetarian or vegan - the 4th of July without Fireworks, or Easter without Jelly Beans! It may sound improbable, even impossible, but the shortage of Peppermint Oil continues, and Candy Canes are almost impossible to find, especially the beloved miniature ones! According to industry insiders, production is down by over 25 percent! YIKES! After searching high and low,...

Three New Fruit Flavored Efrutti Gummi Candies!
Efrutti offers three new fruit-flavored gummi candies! As a kid, I went to my brother's baseball games. I remember more of the concession stand than I do of the actual games themself. I would buy sunflower seeds and, of course, Efrutti Gummi "meals ."They are a core memory from my childhood, just looking at a pack of them in a candy store sends me back. All of them were sweet and about 25 times smaller than the actual foods. It's been years since these delicious little gummi treats entered my mouth, but now I've...

If you thought there was only one flavor variation of the ever-so-popular Smarties Candy, you are wrong, and so am I. I guess it makes sense; most candies have some flavor variation. Still, I have never heard of one for Smarties and never even thought of it possible. A Sweet Starry Night at the 2022 Winchester Thurston High School Prom
As a senior in high school, one thing I have been most looking forward to is my prom, something I didn't get to participate in last year because of the pandemic. Last year when I wasn't able to go, it broke my heart since it is a staple part of the high school experience, so this year I decided to make it extra sweet with some help from CandyFavorites. This event seemed like it was just the thing that needed to be sweetened up with a bit of our candy. So when I talked to Jon Prince, the company President,...
Sizzle, Snap, Pop - The Exciting World of Pop Rocks Popping Candy
It's been years since I have had Pop Rocks. They have always seemed like a candy to have for fun, like a Ring Pop, and less of a candy you have purely for the flavor like Reeses. However, today I will put these fun little candies to the test by trying four flavors and diving into what Pop Rocks are. To give some background to this taste test, I decided to dive a little into the world of pop rocks. What is this candy? How did it come to be? Pop Rocks are a hype of hard candy that contain...

A Taste of Easter Candy in 2022!
Some people say that holiday candy is the best candy, I would have to agree. Holiday candy tastes extra sweet, especially when it comes from the inside of a plastic egg or the contents of your easter baskets. However, something about holiday cheer adds to its delicious taste and makes it unique. I'm sure that it's already on your calendars, but the next candy-centric holiday is Easter! Easter for me has been filled with eggs, no, not the eggs that you hard boil or scramble. Instead, I'm talking about the superior version of eggs, CANDY EGGS! Just like regular eggs,...
Happy 100th Anniversary Gummi Bear and a Contest too....
Share your favorite Haribo memory and you might win an assortment of these Limited Edition Haribo Goldbears! To be honest, I don't know the first time I learned about Haribo Goldbears; they have just always been around. Growing up and now, Haribo is my family's gummi bear of choice, especially my father's. Even though this sweet treat has always been around, I can't believe they have been around for 100 years. Hans Riegel created the first gummy candy in 1922 in the form of bears in a small kitchen in Bonn, Germany. The name Haribo came from an acronym made...
Guess what's back? An update on in-stock Novelty Candies!
Novelty Candy is returning to our shelves...and hopefully yours! Out with the old and with the new may have been the battle cry of the candy industry a few years ago. Still, after two-plus years of supply chain issues, most of us would be satisfied with a combination of both! Although new candies are trickling slowly ( stay tuned, as we have a new product listing going up in a matter of days), we are happy to announce that the following novelty candies have returned to our shelves. However, as supplies are still limited, we are unsure how long the...

Astro Pops and HerSHEy Bars - Candy for Dreamers
Candy is for Dreamers Did you know that Astro Pops pays tribute to the Golden Age of Space Exploration? Recently I wrote a history post about Astro Pops, a lollipop based on rockets and children's dreams for space. This got me thinking about all the cosmic candies we have in this universe. The world's curiosity for space has always been around. After all, there is so much left to discover beyond what we can see. This fascination for space is shown through candy! Candy helps kids dream. As a kid, I loved candy and dreamed of candy stores like the...

The Many Marshmallow Candy Manifestations
Marshmallows are "flexible" and "non-flexible" candy. Learn more! When people think about marshmallows they think small, they think they’re just small puffy balls of sugar. I think big, marshmallows can be part of every meal. Breakfast in your bowl of Lucky Charms. Lunch can be peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwich, Elvis Presley's favorite. Dinner can have a side of sweet potato casserole. Dessert is s'mores, the marshmallow classic. Oh, and if you ever get thirsty during the day, you can have hot chocolate with marshmallows. People underestimate marshmallows and their capacity. This post was inspired by a box that...
Ferrara Pan's Little Bombs of Flavor - Atomic Fireballs, Jawbreakers, or Lemonheads!
The inventors of three truly iconic candies - AtomicFireballs, Jaebreakers, and Lemonheads Recently I wrote about the history of the Ferrara Candy Company and how their candies came to be. When I wrote this article, my mouth watered the whole time. Honestly, it was torture not to have them in my mouth, but I waited for this very moment. It is time for me to taste these Ferrara Candy Company delicacies, and I cannot wait. First is the Jaw Buster (Jawbreakers); I established so much respect for this candy while writing Ferrara Pan's history section. It was the first of...
Welcome To The Gummi Ring Olympics!

Just Went You Thought You Could Enjoy Your Favorite Haribo Gummi Candy...
Few will deny that Haribo is the Gold Standard by which all Gummi Candies are measured, so to those of you that agree, we offer our sympathy. However, to those of you who have yet to decide who makes the best gummi candy, you may just have to wait. Just when you thought your candy aisle would be overflowing, we received notice from the manufacturer that Haribo Bulk Gummy Candies are the latest victim of supply chain issues. The following Haribo products will not be available in bulk format until 2023. Haribo Bulk Gold Gummi Bears 3 lb. Haribo Bulk...
Introducing Hannah, our Sweetest Blogger Yet!
Meet Hannah, a Girl with a Serious Sweet Tooth! Hi, I am Hannah Brelsford, a senior in high school at Winchester Thurston School in Pittsburgh, PA who loves sugar. I have always been the girl to eat sugary sweet icing until I feel sick in my stomach, the girl to always pick chocolate over gummies, and to always suggest stopping for dessert on the way home. So I guess it’s safe to say I LOVE SWEETS. Would I self-diagnose myself as a sweet connoisseur? That’s a hard question to answer. I would say I am a...
The Golden Secret of Reese’s that Keeps You Coming Back
My favorite candy is Reese’s. I can’t resist the glorious cups that melt into my mouth and always have me reaching for another one to unwrap. Each time a new Reese's candy is released I run to the store and clear off the shelves. With the most recent release, the Big Cup with Potato Chips, I had my eyes peeled everywhere I searched until I finally found them. My quest for that new cup was well worth it. The perfect balance between the saltiness, sweetness and the nice crunch of the potato chip filled my mouth with edible joy. Each...

CandyFavorites Bag Candy Offerings - 2022
While some old favorites such as Bulls Eyes, Cow Tails, Red Licorice Laces, Sour Patch Kids, and Watermelons have been "temporarily discontinued" by the manufacturer, we have added new candies at a record pace. In addition, in January, we switched away from a two-tier pricing system and increased the weights of many of our bags although we maintained the Blue & Red labels as they offer a nostalgic feel to any display. This new price point offers a better opportunity for retailers and a better value for consumers. We will soon be adding a Select Label featuring high-end chocolates and...
New Winter Favorites - Old Dominion Peanut Bars and Reese's Popcorn
If you are located on the East Coast, this time of the year tends to be cold and dreary. Of course, if you are on the West Coast, it's a different story, but wherever you are, it is the perfect time to indulge in some new sweets. Although our focus is mainly on Valentine's and Easter Candy, we received two new products that we can't stop raving about, which might be a subtle way of saying that we actually can't stop eating. Old Dominion Peanut Blocks have been a retro candy staple since 1943 We have offered Planters and Lance...
2022 Valentine's Day Candy Offerings
As the Christmas holiday, seasonal candies are in short supply due to supply chain issues. In addition, a majority of the Valentine Candy pre-ordered did not arrive due to export issues and our holiday offerings are a bit leaner than they were in previous years.
The list above highlights candies in stock as of January 7, 2022. There is a possibility that more items will arrive, and all seasonal candies are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.
If you have questions or are interested in special orders, please reach out, as we will do our best to help.
Some GOOD NEWS about our Bag Candy Selection....
New Bag Candies are coming soon! THE NOT-SO-GOOD NEWS... The past year has seen many of our best-selling bag candy items disappear. Some, like Caramel Creams, will be back in the near future while others such as Chocolate Licorice may be gone for good. It is frustrating to consumers, retailers, and wholesalers alike! THE GOOD NEWS... We did a poll and asked consumers what their favorite candies were. After tallying the results, we will be adding 15 new items with a focus on nostalgic candies (Atomic Fireballs, Hot Tamales, Jawbreakers, Jelly Beans, Lemonheads, Mike & Ikes, and Pixy Stix) and...
Changes to the CandyFavorites Bag Candy Line in 2022
January 4, 2022 Dear Valued Customers, With commodity, labor, and transportation costs rising as never before, we have decided it was time to give our over fifty-year-old bag candy a new look! To maintain the quality these bags have come to represent; we decided it was better not to make the packs smaller but rather to sell them all at one price point and add new products and offer more generous bags. Effective January 10, all bag candy - blue and red labels - will be the same price. This change will allow for a much higher profit margin for...
A Few Hard To Find Hershey's Holiday Candy Favorites....and some Twizzlers too!
At CandyFavorites, we are all about hard-to-find and Limited Edition candies. But, there is something fun, especially around the holidays, to give – or receive – an item that few others have, all the more so when it is candy. 2021 has had its supply chain challenges even in the candy world, where even everyday favorites such as Snickers have become hard to find. But that only makes our candy buyers work harder. So, you may be asking yourself, what have we found that is unusual and sweet for the holiday season? Here are a few hard-to-find items from Hershey's...
Want to win a CASE of Original Licorice Snaps?
Who wouldn't want to win an entire case of Licorice Snaps! It seems as if since time eternal, or at least since we opened our doors on January 5th, 1927, we have waxed eloquent about the virtues of Licorice Snaps. They are, perhaps, the most sought after and most requested candy of all times, surpassing sweets such as the Marathon Bar! As retro candy is all about connecting people with a time when life was easier and sweeter, we thought it might be fun to give one lucky winner an entire CASE, yes 12 bags, of Original...
Who could imagine a holiday without Brach's Milk Chocolate Stars?
Now might be your last chance to enjoy Brach's Milk Chocolate Stars! It would be hard to imagine the holidays without a guiding star or, for that matter, Brach’s Milk Chocolate Stars. Their iconic shape is expected on holiday peanut butter cookies, and real milk chocolate taste has been imitated but never surpassed. Perhaps the best-selling chocolate holiday candy we have offered for several decades, we couldn’t imagine that this product would not be available. And then it wasn’t….. In the past few years, Brach’s has discontinued many of their beloved and iconic candies. It started a few years ago...
(Snickers) Cinnamon Buns aren't just for breakfast anymore!
Who said that you couldn’t enjoy the taste of a deliciously warm and sticky Cinnamon Bun anytime? A pastry that was once relegated to breakfast is now available as a candy bar—introducing Snickers Cinnamon Buns. As tasty as the colorful packaging is beautiful, these VERY Limited Editions are a luscious combination of flavors, including crisp, freshly roasted peanuts, cinnamon-flavored chewy nougat, buttery caramel topped off with the delicious milk chocolate that Snickers lovers have come to expect and love. It’s a flavor explosion second to none! While these candy bars are delicious as a stand-alone snack, they go equally well...
Mike & Ike (Candy) are going on vacation and we are not sure when they are coming back....
Who would have imagined that Mike and Ike Fruit Chews won't be available shortly? Two of our favorite friends, Mike & Ike, are going on a sabbatical. We are not sure where they are going – perhaps a tropical island or a sojourn around the world – but the good news is that they will be back, but when remains unknown, which is in keeping with their overall mystique. Believe it or not, no one knows exactly who they were named after, even after over 80 years! So let’s consider them the "Unofficial Candy Men of Mystery." As you can...
Cereal is not just for breakfast anymore once you try Kit Kat Fruity Cereal Candy Bars!
Who said you can't enjoy the taste of fruity cereal all day long? I want to say I have a PSA ( in case you are wondering, it is an abbreviation for a public service announcement) that everyone in life should live by. Okay… here it goes: cereal is not just breakfast food. There. I said it and am feeling much relieved! I prefer my cereal at night before bed, and I know people who will eat their cereal for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, second dessert, midnight snack, whenever! So the point is, why to take such a delicious and...
2021 Christmas & Holiday Candy Selection from CandyFavorites.com
Hard to believe but the holidays are just around the corner and our holiday candy selection is amongst our best in decades. That's the good news! The not-so-good news is that supplies are VERY limited this year and we are not able to reorder seasonal merchandise once we sell out. With that said, we encourage you to order as early as possible, and if in doubt about how much you need, we would encourage you to order a bit more if only to make sure that have enough candy to fit your needs. Of course, we are always here to...
Did you know that the FIRST Private Label Bag Candy originated in Pittsburgh?
For over 60 years, McKeesport Candy Co. has been offering a wide range of wrapped and unwrapped candy under their own private label. They were the first wholesale candy company in the nation to offer a prepacked option and it went on to become a mainstay in high-end gift shops and stores throughout the country, especially in Western Pennsylvania. The original label was called "Todd's Kiddee Favorites." The name was changed in the 1970s to "Todd's Candy" and, later, to Candy Favorites to reflect the brand of our wholesale supplier. To view a catalog of our current product offerings, please...
Halloween Candy Almost Gone!
Reese's Franken-Cups are a unique way to enhance any Halloween Candy Selection. 2021 has been a challenging year as supply chain issues have made sourcing seasonal candy difficult. Unlike other years, once a product is sold out, we are not able to reorder. This has caused many old-time favorites to sell out earlier than usual. We have a limited amount of the following Halloween Candies available but please note that they are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. 1951 Halloween Chocolate Pretzels – Bulk 4688 Halloween Chocolate Pretzels – 10 oz. Tie Top Bags 1952 Halloween Yogurt Pretzels- Bulk 4689...
Guess What's Back - CREME SAVERS HARD CANDY!
A classic saying goes along the lines of "we all want what we can't have" or something of that nature (sorry, I admit I don't know the exact wording). Well, there was one specific candy that I used to have all the time growing up. One specific candy that my grandmother would somehow magically pull out of her purse and don't even get me started on my excitement seeing this special candy in my Easter basket. So what was this beyond delicious candy that had an iron grip on my 9-year-old self… CREME SAVERS HARD CANDY! Whether it was Orange...
It's Time for Peanut Butter & Chocolate Star Cookies!
With the holidays approaching and summer fading into a distant memory, cookie season is well upon us, and everyone loves to bite into the soft, chewy texture of a fresh-baked cookie. But what is the best cookie to indulge in this time of year? There has to be one that is universally loved by the cookie community. A cookie that is so delightful on the tip of your tongue that you will never turn one down. Well, I think I know of just the one. Chocolatey, peanut butter star cookies are a great fall treat to enjoy. These are the...
Haribo we go again....
As loyal candy lovers and merchants know, the past few months have seen unprecedented issues with the supply chain. It seems as if products are being discontinued or are temporarily out of stock on a daily basis. Yes, it is frustrating! We just got notice that Haribo, aka the product of the world's best gummy candies, is going to be making a few of their best-selling items temporarily unavailable. The good news is that this interruption is due to Haribo creating a NEW warehouse - their third US distribution center - as well as their FIRST North American factory. Let's...
Wholesale Candy Supply Chain Update - September 2021
Dear Valued Customer, On your recent order, there may have been items marked “out of stock.” These shortages are as frustrating to us as they must be to you, and I want to explain. In the past year, we have experienced unprecedented issues with our supply chain. This has been especially hard on the candy industry, especially with novelty candy, which comes from other counties, and, surprisingly, everyday items such as Caramel Creams and Swedish Fish, to name but a few. We also suspect seasonal products will be in short supply as there will be no opportunity to reorder from...
New Bulk Candy Alert - Coconut Caramel Wheels and Chocolate Caramel Wheels!
As we all know, candy has become increasingly difficult to find. Many old-time favorites such as Caramel Creams and Swedish Fish have been temporarily discontinued - yikes - and finding a substitution is more challenging than finding a needle in a haystack. Last week, we stumbled upon a delicious substitute for Caramel Creams. Of course, it is not the same product, nor is it supposed to be, but it is a delicious caramel that is sure to please in a combination of flavors. The first variety is the Caramel Coconut Rolls. Individually wrapped and with an unusual flavor pairing, these...
Temporarily Say Goodbye to Caramel Creams and Cowtales? Sadly, this is not a typo!
We didn't believe this either but we were just notified by the manufacturer that bulk Caramel Creams, Brownie Caramel Creams, and Mini Cow Tales are being "temporarily suspended" until further notice. You might ask yourself what exactly does this means. Smaller unit sales such as count goods will still be available, but anything sold by weight or repackaged will not be available. Below is a copy of the August 9th notification received from Goetze's "As a result of the current employment environment around the country and specifically in the state of Maryland, we continue to face staffing shortages that are...

Summer is all about Salt Water Taffy!
Beaches, boardwalks, blue skies, and hot temperatures are only some of the things we think about when we reach the summer. When I think of summer, I’ll admit all of these great things come to mind, but what else comes to mind? Salt Water Taffy. My family visits Ocean City, New Jersey, almost every summer ("down the shore" is the official New Jersey slang), and each year we pick up a huge bag of the chewy, fruity, salty stuff. But is Salt Water Taffy the ultimate summer candy? I would say "yes" just based on its history, but I will...

Hershey's Smore's Kits are MUST for any Summer Event!
One would have to go far and wide to find someone who doesn't love the delectable combination of melted chocolate covering an oozing marshmallow sandwiched between two crisp graham crackers. Much like finding out who accidentally dipped their chocolate bar in a jar of peanut butter, the history of this combination remains a mystery. Few would dispute that the combination of flavors and textures rivals - or perhaps surpasses - some of the greatest candy bars. Leave it to Hershey' to create a combo pack that pays tribute to the "the Great American Chocolate Bar" and provides all the necessary...
Toxic Waste Slime Licker Sour Rolling Liquid Candy is back....BUT NOT FOR LONG.
Every so often, there is a candy that becomes the "Holy Grail." Many moons ago, it was Pop Rocks; then it was Blue Raz Charms Blow Pops. Thanks to social media, especially Tik Tok, Toxic Waste Slime Licker Sour Rolling Liquid Candy - try saying that fast a few times - have become the most requested and HARDEST TO FIND candy in 2020 / 2021! As with almost everything in this post-pandemic world, demand has far outpaced supply. The prices on eBay have been crazy, and if, yes, IF, you could get your hands on a few individual pieces, consider...
Meet the newest members of our CandyFavorites Bag Candy family
First launched in the 1950s, our private label bag candy program has become a staple at many of the best candy stores in the nation. These new items are a perfect way to expand your offerings with a decidedly retro twist. Andes Creme De Menthe Mints have been around since the 1950s and were amongst the first chocolate items that we offered. In one of those odd twists of fates, we stopped bagging them in the 1980s, and it wasn’t until doing a little research that we realized that these were one of...
Two New Flavors of Claeys Old Fashioned Hard Candies!
Call us set in in our ways, or, perhaps, more kindly “nostalgic,” but we have always taken a liking to products that withstand the test of time. There is something about products that resist the sirens call of change that makes our job much easier. With this disclosure, you can imagine how happy we were to receive two new flavors of Claeys Old Fashion Hard Candies – Green Apple & Peppermint. Founded in 1919 in a small garage in South Bend, Indiana, Claeys has withstood the test of time. 102 years later, much like McKeesport Candy Co., it is in...
Big League Chew "Slammin' Strawberry" Bubble Gum and a Brief History of Female Athletes Too!
Bubble Gum has been a big part of the game of baseball for decades. Nothing like chomping on a big chunk of gum and taking part in one of America’s favorite past times. Baseball has been one of this country's oldest and most beloved sports and no one is denying that. But when it comes to baseball and major league sports all around, there is a lack of representation for one particular group: women. But leave it to the good folks at Ford Gum to make sure that their products would not lack female representation. In 2019, Big League Chew...
America's Favorite Marshmallow Ice Cream Cone aka "Marpo Cones" is Coming Soon!
Warm weather is here, and I really, honestly can’t believe it’s already May. With that being said, April showers bring May flowers, but what does May bring. I’ll tell you what it brings, hotter sun, greener trees, and ice cream cones. But with the warmer weather comes messier ice cream. I have war flashbacks of soft-serve ice cream melting completely down my arm and me being sticky for the rest of the day. Well, ladies and gents, this doesn’t have to be a problem this time around. After a long hiatus and three, yes three, ownership changes, the beloved Marpo...
If you are LUCKY, you will buy these CHARMING Marshmallow Candies.
This week we are thinking differently and outside the box, no pun intended Everyone loves a good bowl of cereal, and let’s not lie here, when you crave a bowl of cereal, it isn’t the cardboard squares or flavorless flakes. No. You want a big bowl of sugary, crunchy cereal with ice-cold milk. Now personally, I’m a massive fan of the cereals with the little colorful marshmallows. But when I eat this cereal, I always wish that I could just have the marshmallows to switch things up. You may be thinking, just pick them out. Well, I’ll be honest, that...
This week's favorite candy is..... LICORICE LACES!
There are many iconic questions that most people will come by in life. What’s your favorite color? Sparkling or still? Does pineapple belong on pizza? But the one I’m thinking of is, around the loop or bunny ears? If you are wondering what the question refers to, then I may be thinking that you live under a rock or have never seen the shoelace episode of Spongebob, but I don’t want to be rude. When it comes to tying your shoelaces there are two ways to go, either around the big loop and pull, or two bunny ear loops tied...
Paul Lehman, The Founder of Eda's Sugarfree Candy Has Passed Away at 100 Years Old.
For many years, we have proudly offered EDA's Sugarfree Candy which we feel is amongst the best available. While the taste and quality of the candy speak for themselves, the amazing story of the founders often goes unmentioned.

It’s kind of like licking a lollipop, but different. These candies pack the sour punch and will leave you puckered up...
Martin's Potato Chips - Fresh from the FARM!
The warm weather has officially arrived and we are ready to get outside and enjoy all the sun has to offer. For those of you on the East coast, it was a long, cold winter. After being stuck inside most of the winter months, there seems to be some hope that we can go outside, sit back in the yard and hey, maybe even enjoy some Martin’s Potato Chips. Now, I don’t know about you but when the weather warms up and the trees are green again, I want to be outside all the time. I think of playing games...
New Candies to Consider
WE CAN'T PRONOUNCE IT EITHER…. You may be asking yourself what exactly is a Whozeewhatzit or, for that matter, how do I pronounce it. Released in March, this is the FIRST candy bar that Hershey has released in over a decade! A contest decided the name, and many think of it as the Whatchamacallit Bar's "younger sibling." However you look at it, this is as much a conversation starter as it is a great candy bar, and it is new! Who could ask for more? Our experience is that they sell best when paired with one another. Think of it...
