A Razzling Choice

Vintage Razzles WrapperWe’ve all been there before. You’ve got a sweet tooth, but you aren’t quite sure what for. Do you want candy? Do you want gum? How to choose? Is that a choice you’re prepared to make? And do you really even have to make it? For almost 50 years, when sugar cravings strike, candy connoisseurs have been choosing not to choose with Razzles.

Razzed About Razzles

Razzles ApeOriginally marketed with the slogan, “First it’s a candy, then it’s a gum. Little round Razzles are so much fun,” Razzles has been delighting audiences with their two-timing qualities since 1966. Back then, they were made by a company called Fleer and only came in one flavor, raspberry. The fact that they could become a success with just a single flavor is clear proof of just how amazing Razzles really are! How many candies can you think of today that have made it big on a single flavor?

A Raz-tastic Name

Vintage Razzles Wrapper 2The name Razzles has quite a ring to it, don’t you think? But do you know where it came from? As it turns out, the name was derived from the world of berries. Only, instead of being named after a real berry, they were named after a fictional “razzleberry.” I don’t know about you, but that berry sounds like it would be the best berry on the block. That’s one berry that I would never turn down!

 A Razzling Idea

New RazzlesThe candy-to-gum idea is really clever when you think about it. By starting off as hard candy and morphing into chewing gum, Razzles manage to capture a whole spectrum of taste sensations. And they don’t just come in raspberry anymore! These days, lucky sweet tooths can be charmed by a variety of Razzles multi-packs. Flavors include Blaze’n Blueberry, Gushin’ Grape, Luscious Lemon, Razzle Raspberry, and Tangerine Orange, plus sour and tropical flavors. So these days, you sure to find a Razzle that fits your mood.
