This is one of many memories or my grandma at Christmas time - her cookies and the anise candies. She lived to be 103 1/2 so we had many years of wonderful memories of our gram.

An old man that used to baby sit me when I was a kid used to have a basket in his truck full of anise squares. Every ride back and forth to my house he would offer me one. I'm 23 now and I had a square last year and it immediatly took me back to that truck.
