Where can I buy my favorite candy locally?

Although we sell candy to many stores throughout the United States, we cannot suggest local establishments where you can purchase products represented on CandyFavorites.com.

The good news is, if you can find candy on our site, you can order it online or call us at (412) 678-8851.  Your candy is shipped directly to your door, saving you time, money, and gas.

Best of all, if your order is over $199.95, it would be our pleasure to ship it to your doorstep for FREE.

If that is not an incentive to not leave your house, what is?

Why does candy look or taste different than I recall?

In the candy industry, the only constant is change (or so the expression goes).  Over time, taste buds and product formulations evolve.

Many beloved retro candies have disappeared, and new manufacturers have acquired others -- an example is Brach's Ferrara Pan acquired in 2012.

These companies often change formulas or packaging without notice.  Yes, it can be frustrating, but it is better than a beloved candy being discontinued which is all too common these days!

Certain products also respond to changes in temperature and humidity.

For example, Satellite Wafers or Marpo Cones may not taste crunchy if exposed to moisture.   Similarly, candies that are gummi or dextrose-based may be less chewy / harder if exposed to colder temperatures.

But again, this doesn't mean that the candy is defective: it just means that it is responding to the conditions in which it was shipped or stored.

We only sell the latest products and go to great lengths to provide up-to-date product information.

Unfortunately,  a beloved candy may look or taste different than it did many years agoThis change doesn't mean it's defective, just that it's been revised.  And unfortunately, as a wholesaler, we have no control over the manufacturing process, although we do our best to provide accurate pictures and product updates.

Is there a tax on my purchase?

Good News!

In Pennsylvania, there is no tax on candy.

However, if you are using candy for resale, you would want to contact local authorities per your tax requirements.

 Can I purchase from you?

Anyone who enjoys candy can order as we remain one of the only online candy companies not requiring a minimum order.

If your company wishes to purchase from us, we can handle the shipping to multiple destinations, including overseas.

For wholesale orders to established retail stores, we require a minimum of $500 per order before a discount  (one of the lowest wholesale requirements in our industry) and proof of a state-licensed resale certificate.

Please contactus to learn about our unique wholesale program backed by McKeesport Candy Co., America's Oldest Wholesale Candy Company.

 Why is shipping expensive?

We are one of the only online candy companies that don't use shipping to make a profit. As a result, we also offer one of the lowest Free Shipping thresholds.

For more information about shipping costs, look at our Shipping FAQ Page.

How long does it take for my order to arrive?

We want to offer realistic expectations about order processing and delivery.

We will do our best to process all orders promptly, but please allow up to five business days for order processing unless Rush Service is chosen.

With the country facing an unprecedented volume of package shipments, delivery using our flat-rate service can take upwards of a week from when it leaves our warehouse.

If you need your order sooner, please opt for Fed Ex Home Delivery or faster.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds for orders that do not arrive at a specific time unless an expedited option is chosen.

Sometimes.  we will be out of stock of a product, all the more so during a time with supply chain issues.

Therefore, if you need to be notified of any order changes, you must remark in the NOTES section when placing your order.

How can I pay if I don't have a credit card?

We prefer payment by credit card -- we accept American Express, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa --  but you can also pay by certified check or money order.

Please mail payment to:

McKeesport, PA 15132

How long does candy last?

Shelf life is a challenging question as we offer over 3000 varieties of candy!

Some candies last long, but it is best to order as close as possible to the date needed.

Unlike other online candy stores, our items are kept in stock and available for immediate delivery.

Do you repackage candy?

We often repackage bulk candy that comes to us in cases weighing thirty pounds or more!  As this is too much for even the most ardent candy lover, we repackage it in lower quantities to offer a better consumer value!

The most common packaging is a heavy plastic bag with a twist tie.

This repackaging allows for the safest candy transport, especially for candies with irregular sizes.

Products received are packed in the most sanitary conditions in a facility regularly inspected by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

 Can you send a catalog?

To remain environmentally sensitive, we cannot send catalogs by mail. Instead,  our products can be viewed on the website anywhere, anytime.

What has happened to my favorite candy? Unfortunately, I can't find it on your site.

Many retro candy classics have been discontinued and are no longer available.

If you don't find your favorite candy, check for it on our list of Discontinued Candies

Where is my candy made?

We source candy from manufacturers all around the world.

All of our products are purchased directly from manufacturers or their exclusive distributors.

We make no claim, implicit or implied,  that the products we represent are manufactured in the United States.

Fortunately, many still are, but many candy companies have moved their production facilities to places such as Mexico,  South America, or beyond in the past few years.

The location where a product is manufactured does not indicate an inferior product.

All products that we represent go through our quality control process regardless of where they are manufactured.

Do you donate to charitable organizations?

Community involvement is essential, and we regularly support charitable organizations in Western Pennsylvania, especially in the Mon Valley, where our wholesale company has been located for nine decades!

Unfortunately, despite many worthy causes, we do not donate outside of the region.

We would, however, be willing to offer you a discount to help incorporate our products into your organization's needs.

Are you backed by the nation's OLDEST candy wholesaler and are the FIRST Internet candy store?

CandyFavorites launched under a different name, McKandy.com, in 1997, making it among the first candy-related websites. As a result, we were the first online retailer of many of the candy brands we carry.

We are backed by McKeesport Candy Co., which opened in 1925 but was incorporated in 1927. This makes us backed by one of the oldest privately owned wholesale candy companies still in existence!

We are 95 years young and still running strong.

What is it like to work at a candy company?

Well, it's pretty sweet. Our employees say it's like being a kid in a candy store.

Of course, with a candy warehouse over two city blocks long, we have to agree!
