Chocolate Fever

As a final activity on the study of chocolate by fifth grade students at Cornell Middle School, students were invited to view first hand a candy warehouse and see how it operates. The project blossomed after students read “Chocolate Fever” by Robert Kimmel Smith and Jon H.Prince, owner of McKeesport Candy Co., thought a warehouse tour would be a “special reward” for finishing the book.
