Squirrel Nut Zippers Changemaker Jars were reintroduced in 2004 after being discontinued in the 1980's after an almost 75 year run!
The best tihng is that the formula hasn't changed nor has the oh so whimsical wrapper that will be as popular with your grandparents as it will be with your kids.

I remember in the 50's, my Great Grandmother would send my younger sister and I to the corner store to get $.10 cents worth of Squirrel Nuts (back then it was 2 for penny). I can remember doing that at least 2 or 3 times a week especially during the summer months. She'd hide the wrappers under the big chair in the setting room and we would always get blamed by our Mother that we did it.
