Reflections on our 80 year anniversary

When my grandfather, Ernest Prince, opened a small wholesale candy company in 1927 in industrial McKeesport, PA, on the outskirts of Pittsburgh, he couldn’t have known that it would eventually become one of the oldest confectionary wholesale companies in the country as well as one of the first, and largest, online candy stores.
As we officially celebrate our eightieth birthday, a few constants remain in the midst of the current world of change. First and foremost, we greatly appreciate all of our customers. We realize you have many different options from which to purchase your favorite candies, and we don’t take any order for granted – big or small, far or near.
Secondly, we remain committed to providing you with a unique collection of candy, especially those not found anywhere else. While other wholesalers have turned their eyes on expanding to non-confectionary items, our focus has been and will always be on the products that candy lovers most enjoy. These days it’s getting more and more difficult to differentiate between people, places and things. In the midst of all of this we strive to continue to offer variety and consistence.
Lastly, we remain committed to bridging the gap between the impersonal and the personal. We strive to treat our customers fairly and to provide the best customer service in the online candy industry.
We promise to improve and continue this customer-centric focus and are proud to introduce our completely redesigned website. Our new website has a host of features designed to enhance your online shopping experience as well as to share with you the history of one of America’s beloved products. When possible, we try to add product trivia and retro photos to make your visit more enjoyable.
Looking back over my own eighteen-year journey as a part of this company’s long history, I realize how fortunate I am to be able to continue this wonderfully sweet tradition that my grandfather began so many years ago. And I have all of you, my valued customers, to thank for making his dream a wonderful reality.
