Foil wrapped chocolate balls were a staple of our Christmas season. Every November my parents would buy large bags of the red, green and silver balls, and we kids would be tasked with taping a thread loop on each one of them. Come December 1st we'd hang each ball on our tree along with iced sugar cookies and candy canes. It all looked pretty when the tree was lit. Come New Years eve we could invite a friend over and we'd all get to take apart the tree and enjoy a share of the treats that were hanging on it. Almost as much fun as Halloween.
