Good & Plenty, a product of Hershey, is one of the oldest branded candy products in Americaand was first produced in Philadelphia, PA in 1892 by the now defunct Quaker City Confectionary Company.
The picture is a vintage Good & Plenty advertisement from 1947.
Did you know that in the early 1960's, the company featured a cartoon character called Choo-Choo Charlie who fueled his train with these pink and white candies?

I've loved Good & Plenty since I was allowed to eat small candy. Even now, at the age of 58, I'm still addicted. It has always been a "must have" for the movie theater, as well as having a box or now a bag full of G&P. Thanks for featuring the old advertisement - love those too!
