These Lindt Lindor chocolate balls are manufactured in Kilchberg, Switzerland by a team of dedicated and experienced chocolate chefs.
Lindt began in 1845 in Zurich’s old town when David Sprüngli-Schwarz and his son Rudolf Sprüngli-Ammann decided to make chocolate. The Lindor Balls were originally produced in 1969 as Christmas tree decorations. Its demand and popularity convinced Lindt to make these chocolates year round. The Lindor name came from combining Lindt with the French word for gold: or (Lindt + or = Lindor). This is a very appropriate name because this chocolate really is the quality of gold.
