I was trying to tell someone about those particular chicks. I also wish to find them. I haven't seen them in Pittsburgh for 10 years.

I love Peeps, but Stephanie is right. The other brand (I can't remember the name either) was better in my opinion. I used to get them when I was a kid. My grandmother used to put them in my Easter basket. They were my mom's favorites too and I wish I could find them. They were in a dark pink box, and not so soft as Peeps. There were 2 to a section and 9 sections per box. The sugar coating was crunchier too and overall they weren't as sweet as Peeps. I miss them and haven't seen them in many years. If anyone knows what they are, I'd appreciate knowing.

I think the brand is Frankford

You can see them on this page:
http://www.frankfordcandy.com/season_products.aspx?sn=E

I tried their Valentine Hearts and thought they were pretty good (I prefer them to Peeps).

I also love the marshmallow Peeps, but I have to say that what I truly long for are the "other" brand of marshmallow chickens and bunnies that were out about 5 years ago. They were made standing upright- came in white, pink and yellow (all in the same package), and had both bunnies (with their ears laying back) and chickens. I can't remember for the LIFE of me what company made them- but I search every year for them!

Any ideas?
