Innocence
They say innocence is the mark of children. Once you hit adulthood, it’s all out the window. You can no longer be innocent. You finally see the world for what it is. But I believe there is something that can bring the innocence back to adults. Bring innocence back to the world.
I remember watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory as a kid. And I remember the way I felt, watching Charlie eat his chocolate bar. But I remember him sharing it with his family too. You could see the change on the adults’ faces as they ate their piece of the Wonka Bar.
I had my first Wonka Bar just over a year ago. The new version of the movie was coming out soon, and Wonka Bar’s were being sold everywhere. When I bit into the bar, I felt the world slip away. Some of that innocence came back as I tasted the sweet chocolate. The world seemed like a better place in that moment.
Maybe if everyone had a Wonka Bar and stopped to remember the joy on Charlie’s face as they ate, the world would be a better place. Maybe not, I mean not everyone likes chocolate. But its just a theory. Any thoughts from you candy lovers out there?
