Theater Size Box of Sno Caps

Manufactured by Nestle

Here is some interesting Sno Cap trivia

In 1911, The Blumenthal Brother Chocolate Company, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, manufactured a candy product that is the origin of the now beloved Sno-Caps

The product originated as a large milk chocolate disk but the problem was that the size was too large for mass production as the candy measured over 2.5 inches in diameter

In the late 1920's, this product, also known as “Bob White” was reduced in size and covered with tiny granules of sugar

Feeling that the name “Bob White” didn't appeal to the mass market, the company changed the product name to Sno-Caps and, thus, a legend was born

In 1925, the company introduced the first chocolate covered peanut which they named Goobers which was a nickname for peanuts in North Carolina where the family originated

With the success of the Sno-Cap and Goobers, the company introduced a chocolate covered raisin in 1927 and thus was born Raisinets

Sadly, this company remains only in the lore of candy lovers but they were true innovators in their day
