Pez Mints were invented in 1927 which was the same year that McKeesport Candy Co., was founded

They were originally marketed in cigarette lighter shaped packaging and were sold as an alternative to smoking


It was not until 1955 that they were introduced in the beloved dispenser format thus making them a candy collectible for children
